Trevalco is an organization which treats man, environment and society with great respect. As described in our mission we want to create added value economically, ecologicaly as well as for society.

It is our intent to evolve the coming years into an organization which is more mature in terms of responsible entrepreneurship. Our starting point are the sustainable development goals of the United Nations.

sustainable development goals of the United Nations

Within Trevalco there is sufficient support, both at management level as well as at the level of our consultants, to achieve this common goal. This is clear from initiatives which are running already for a couple of years such as the mobility budget as alternative for company cars, the success of hybdrid working, strong focus on work / life balance, and the continued effort in building a diverse, inclusive team.

As a young company we are now ready to set our next goals towardssustainability .

From July 2022 to July 2023 we will be running 3 pilot projects. Then in the second half of 2023 we will develop a long-term strategy, with more specific actions and a plan for execution.

Pilot 1: electric company cars

To make our fleet greener we prefer electric company cars. Currently we have one electric cars in our fleet of in total 12 company cars. We have ordered already three additional electric company cars to replace existing cars, or for new colleagues.

Solutions for home and on-the-road charging are being deployed, and will be put to the test in the coming 12 months.

By introducing electric company cars with colleagues who are open to this, we hope to inspire our other colleagues to make a switch to electric driving.

Of course we will continue with the mobility budget as well, this is currently in use with about 30% of our consultants.

Piloot 2: digital transformation, paperless

A lot of documents are still printed on paper, often because a signature is needed. Printing on paper has many known disadvantages:

  • use of paper and ink (chemicals)
  • employees and freelancers need to come to our office, often by car, to sign documents
  • a lot of storage space needed for paper documents
  • work to print, scan and archive paper documents

An ERP system and HR platform were implemented in 2021, these tools are further adapted to digitize workflows and documentation as much as possible. Also most documents will in the future be digitaly signed.

Existing documentation will be digitized to ensure an efficient way of working which is anchored in our organization.

Aside from sustainability this project also reduces costs.

Pilot 3: sustainable purchasing

The amount of purchases at Trevalco is, aside from company cars and ICT, rather limited. Nevertheless we think there are some quick wins in this area. For example:

  • office supplies
  • coffee and tea
  • promotional material
  • gifts for clients, employees, freelancers and other connections

On one side we will try to better estimate quantities, to reduce leftovers. On the other side we will also look at the sustainability of the products themselves. Preference will be for products that are fair-trade, organic, recycled and circular. We hope that with this third project we can not only inspire our colleagues when at work, but also when they are doing their own shopping.

At Trevalco I'm responsible for HR and Quality. The main goal of my job is to create an organization in which we foster personal development and build towards direct motives that inspire performance: play, purpose and potential. Because at the end of the day we want happy employees delivering great services to our customers.
