Sustainability at Trevalco
On this page we present our goals and results in sustainability.
Scope 1 & 2 emissions
Since 2023 Trevalco calculates its scope 1 and 2 emissions. These concern the GreenHouse Gas (GHG) emissions due to direct combustion and to the use of electricity.
The sum of scope 1 and 2 emissions in 2023 is reduced with almost 50% compared to the reference years 2018 - 2020. This is mainly due to
- the electrification of our fleet
- increase in popularity of bikes for daily commutes
- hybrid working
Our focus
Together with our employees we selected 5 sustainable development goals on which we want to focus until 2030.
Objectives for 2030
Below we present our major actions on sustainability from 2024 until the beginning of 2030. These are complemented by many smaller initiatives and actions we come up with over the years.
1Reporting of scope 1 and 2 emissions
Starting in 2024 report direct (scope 1) and indirect (scope 2) emissions on a yearly basis.
2Reduce our scope 1 and 2 emissions by 80%
It is our goal to reduce Trevalco's direct (scope 1) and indirect (scope 2) emissions per invoiced hour with 80% by 2030, compared to the reference years 2018 - 2020.
3Make our fleet sustainable
Reduce the number of company cars with a combustion engine to less than 10% of our fleet by 2030.
4Evaluate our scope 3 emissions
We take on the challenging task of identifying our major scope 3 emissions, figuring out a way on how to quantify these emissions and to come up with plans to reduce those emissions.
5Continue our initiatives in employee wellbeing
Continue and extend our current initiatives such as EHS trainings, bike policies and sport activities as supplementary team building.
6Diversity
We will measure diversity and gender equality, in our current workforce and in our hiring processes. With these insights, if deemed necessary, improvements will be made.
7Sustainable purchasing
We aim to further develop our approach to sustainable purchasing, and to make it more official in a company policy.
8Training and development
A commitment to have at least 4 Trevalco training days per FTE per year, and to continue investing in young graduates.
