Stéphanie has been working at Trevalco for over five years. She combines scientific and technical knowledge with strong social skills, making the role of validation coordinator a perfect fit for her.

What are your main responsibilities as a validation coordinator?

What I enjoy most about the role is actually what you could consider the main tasks: creating a schedule, maintaining an overview of all (validation) tasks that need to be carried out within the project scope, and communicating and coordinating with various departments. I enjoy communication and love learning new things. By working with different departments, I get to combine both.

What skills should someone who wants to work as a validation coordinator definitely have?

You sometimes need to be able to think creatively, outside the box, so to speak. And be assertive. Not everyone cooperates smoothly, but as a team, you want to bring the project to a successful conclusion, preferably within the (tight) pre-determined deadline.

Can this role be partially done from home?

Yes, absolutely. Part of the job is administrative; setting up a schedule, writing a validation plan, starting a CRF… these are all tasks that can certainly be done from home.

You don’t have a company car but use the mobility budget. What are the advantages of such a budget?

You have more freedom in choosing how to spend the budget. For our family, one car is enough. Since my partner also has a company car, the mobility budget allowed us to buy a cargo bike (and accessories) at a lower cost. Our twins now prefer the cargo bike over the car, so it’s a win-win situation 😉

Why would you recommend someone who wants to work as a consultant to apply to Trevalco?

Whenever a new colleague starts, I say, “Welcome to the Trevalco family.” And that’s exactly how Trevalco feels to me—as a warm and open family. I feel like everything can be discussed, and you are treated personally, not just as “a” consultant who happens to work for Trevalco.
